Knockout List terms of use
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These terms are between McKenna Works LLC ("we"), 5900 Balcones Dr Ste 100, Austin, TX 78731, and the company that subscribes to Knockout List ("you"). Using the app means you agree to them. If you are signing up for a company, you confirm you may do so on its behalf.
1. What Knockout List is
An app for a foreman to make a punch list for a job, hand units and items to the crew, and send each crew member a link to their list for the day; a web link for the crew that needs no app or password; and reports of what got done, for the foreman and the company's office.
2. Your account
One company per account. The owner adds foremen and office people, each with their own sign-in by email code. Keep your email account secure; anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your account.
3. Your crew
You put your crew members' first names in the app (shown with your trade's word for them, such as "Plumber") and you send them their links. You are responsible for telling them that the app records what they check and when, and for having the right to do that under your own employment arrangements and local law. The plumber's page itself says that check times are saved and shown to the foreman. Keep each crew member's link to the person it was made for; a link can be turned off at any time by the foreman.
4. Subscription, trial, and payment
Until Knockout List is in Apple's App Store and Google Play, it is free to use and nothing is charged. From then on, it is sold as a subscription per company, in tiers by the number of foremen, through the App Store or Google Play. The price is shown in the store before you subscribe. Each company gets a one-month free trial once; after that the subscription renews each month or year until you cancel it in the store. Office people and the crew are never charged. Refunds are handled by the store under its rules.
5. Dictation and drafts
When you dictate a walk, your phone's speech service turns your voice into words, and the words are turned into draft items by an automated service. Drafts are drafts: the foreman checks them before they go on the job. We are not responsible for what a draft gets wrong before it is accepted, and the foreman can always add items by hand.
6. Fair use
Each company has a number of dictated walks per month, shown in the app as it nears the limit (and, once it is sold, in the store listing for each tier). Past that number, dictation of whole walks pauses until the first of the next month; adding items one at a time never pauses. Do not use the app to store anything other than your company's punch lists, photos, and reports, or to send a crew link to anyone other than your own crew.
7. Your information
How we use information is in the privacy notice (knockoutlist.com/privacy), which is part of these terms. In short: your jobs, items, photos, and your crew's records are yours; we store them to provide the service and for nothing else; once the app is sold in the stores, if a subscription ends they are deleted 14 days later; you can delete everything at any time in the app.
8. Using it with respect
Knockout List is a list, not a way to watch people. It records what a crew member checked and when, so the foreman knows where the job stands. It does not track location or hours. Use it to run jobs, not to police people, and do not represent it to your crew as something it is not.
9. What we promise and what we do not
We work to keep the app available and your information safe, and we will tell you if something goes wrong that affects you. We do not promise that the app will never fail, that a crew member will always have signal, or that a draft from dictation will always be right. The app is provided as it is. Our total liability to you for anything arising from the app is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost work or lost profit.
10. Your rights under the law
Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law where you are gives you and does not let you waive.
11. Ending
You may stop using Knockout List at any time, and once you subscribe, cancel in the store at any time; the subscription runs to the end of the period you paid for. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why, unless the matter is urgent. When an account ends, section 7 applies.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. We post the new version here with its date and, for a change that matters, email the owner first. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Texas, United States. Before any claim, write to [email protected] and give us 30 days to put it right.
