Knockout List Join the waitlist

Say the punch list once. Everyone on the job gets their part.

Walk the job and say what's left. Knockout List turns it into a list by unit, you hand each unit to someone on your crew, and they get a text with their list for the day. Every tap comes back to you.

Built for trade crews: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, paint, and more. Coming to the App Store and Google Play. No spam; a few emails, then it's out.

A crew member's list on his phone: Luis, 2 of 3 done, items grouped by unit. Two are checked done with the time, one says Couldn't: no material, and one is still open.

How it works

  1. 1. Walk it and say it.

"Unit 304: swap the flapper in the hall toilet, caulk the tub to the tile, lav drain's leaking at the trap." The app makes the list, by unit. You check it.

Check the draft: the foreman's spoken walk turned into 7 items in 3 units (Unit 304, Unit 306, Boiler room), each with an X to drop it, and an orange Accept all 7 button.
  2. 2. Hand out units.

Tap a unit, tap a name. All of that unit's items go to that person. Tap Send and your phone's text message opens with their link.

Today, by unit: Unit 304, Unit 306 and Boiler room not yet assigned, each with Assign unit. Below, Luis's list, opened 7:48 am.
  3. 3. They open it and work it.

No app, no password, no download. They check items off, say "couldn't, here's why," add what they found, note what's missing. Works with gloves on and a bad signal.

The same list a moment later: Luis has checked off Trim out lav faucet, hall bath, done 11:52 am, and the bar reads 3 of 3 done.

What comes back

Every tap, as it happens.

  • A check mark the minute it's made, with the time.
  • "Couldn't do: no material" the minute it's said, so you send a runner instead of walking the unit again.
  • A report per person per day: units done, items done, what couldn't be done and why, photos, missing material. The office can read it too.
Luis's day report for Thursday, Oct 16: 2 of 3 done, 1 couldn't, 0 added, 1 missing. Done items with their times, and Hook up ice maker line marked couldn't do, no material, with his note and a photo.

For your crew

It's a list, not a leash.

Each person on your crew gets a link in a text. It opens on their phone and shows their units for today and nothing else. They tap Done. If they can't do something, they tap why. If something's missing, they say so and you hear it right away. The page tells them plainly that the time of each check is saved and shown to their foreman. That's all it does.

Nothing to install. No password. No location tracking. No hours. Their phone keeps the list even when the signal drops, and sends when it comes back.

For the owner

A system, without an IT department.

One price per foreman. The crew and the office are free. Nothing to install for the crew, nothing to administer. You sign in and see every job, every list, every report, read-only, without calling anyone. When a job runs better, you'll see it in the units finished per day.

Questions

Does my crew need to download anything?

No. Each person gets a text with a link. It opens in their phone's browser.

Does it work with no signal?

The list opens and saves every tap on the phone; they send when the signal comes back. The time recorded is the time of the tap.

Does it track my guys?

No. No location, no hours. It records what was checked and when, and says so on the page.

What phones?

The foreman and office app: iPhone and Android. The crew's links: any phone with a browser, old ones included.

What trades is it for?

Any crew that works from a punch list: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, flooring, finish carpentry, cleaning, general contractors. It speaks in units and items, not in one trade's words.
